STATEMENT OF FAITH
Who is God and why have we decided to dedicate our entire lives to pursuing Him?
God is the creator of all, everlasting, having unending power, wisdom, and goodness. He is the only true God and He has created each person, by hand, into the individuals we are.
(Colossians 1:16, Ephesians 2:10, Jeremiah 32:17)
God is all knowing, aware of each breathe, step, and decision we would make before we were even born. He is holy and unchanging, loving and just, fair and understanding.
As a sign of His unending love for us, God allowed His only son, Jesus to be born on earth. During his lifetime Jesus was free of all sin and spent His life dedicated to sharing the truth of God. Jesus eventually was crucified on a cross in order to sacrifice so that each man’s sins could be forgiven.
(Matthew 1-2, Luke 23)
This sacrifice has allowed each of us the option of salvation, which ultimately enables us the opportunity to live in heaven for eternity, following our earthly death. If we are willing to recognize and turn from our sin, and instead see God’s overarching power, and dedicated our lives to Him, we are able to live in Christ as His children.
(Acts 2:21, 2 Timothy 1:9, Romans 10:10)
If we desire to have a relationship with God we must recognize our weakness and His strength, our sin and His holiness, and our evil and his perfection. Through humbling ourselves to the truth and power of God and seeking a genuine relationship with Him, we can experience salvation.
Following salvation, many individuals refer to themselves as “born again” or “Christians”, these terms are reflective of a new life with full dedication to Christ. The Bible is the Word’s of God, penned for us as a guide, example, and instructions for how to live a life in pursuit of Christ. In the Bible the life of Jesus is chronicled, which is to be an example for right living on earth, according to God.
(John 1:1, Romans 12:1-2)
